OK, so maybe that's a little dramatic... I have let this blog go for so long that I fear it may be terminal. Hopefully it can be revived with the proper first aid. If you know me, you know I've got a million things going on, but I have been missing blogging... So here I am. I have so many ideas for posts floating around in my head you wouldn't believe. Or maybe you would because you see I'm kinda long winded and I like to talk. Whatever the case, I'm back on the blog, hoping to post more frequently if anyone out there is still reading!

I am also a convert of nearly 4 years and have experienced the same with egyptians (though my husband and children are egyptian) i don't fit into the cliques.. and i think it is just sad.. also the women sell things in the woman's prayer room, makeup (mostly avon), hijabs, tunics, etc. this only happens *sometimes but it still bothers me. they are smug, won't return my salams and ignore me mostly. let me say though i have never experienced this with women from the south of egypt, but only from city women.. wouldn't it be great it we could all get together and have a mosque just like the one you described.. even at the "crafts" room for children they never get to learn about religion like the kids in sunday school do.. so sad!! i am fearful of raising my children in this mosque.. i say that nasheeds, and crafts, as well as ciriculum and the kids being told about the prophets and the history of prophet mohammed SAWS should be taught, the women should be encouraged to make a halaqa (not having so many women against it and even talking loudly as to distract the others) *yes this happens to.. SubhanAllah! where are you living anyways??
