Salmeh's new friend!
Here is a new doll I made for the baby. I think I am going to try a second one and fix some of the mistakes I made this time. But overall I think she's pretty fun.
Thanks!I have thought about selling them, they are all cotton and stuffed with bamboo(which is a new super soft stuffing I found looking for cotton)... But I wouldn't know where... You can change her clothes, I am making Salmeh's doll some pjs as a matter of fact! I also gave her mohair hair.
That is so sweet!Such inspiration!I've been wanting to do a Bedu doll for dd with a knitted camel, still looking for a pattern.Still trying to figure out a dessert lap-book/unit study.....
AITK, I found the bamboo stuffing at Joannes. When I took it to the counter even the cashier hadn't seen that they had it. I paid $7 for the bag, but it went further than I expected. I was thinking that it would take as much as other types of stuffing but it is packed really densely in the bag. I like it anyway, it turned out soft and nice. As far as the patterns thing... I got a whole batch of patterns from an estate sale. Vintage, but I like them. Every animal imaginable and some cute dolls too! This doll is an elongated version of one pattern from that sale.
If you are selling them...I am a buyer! Did you find a pattern/template somewhere? I am sure my daughter would ABSOLUTELY love this doll! How's the pre-school coming along?
I am a mother to four wonderful kids and the wife to one wonderful Egyptian! We live in a small town in the Midwest and work in our small businesses. I am also a Waldorf preschool teacher and childcare provider, a backyard chicken lady, a part time homeschooler, and a generally crunchy mama (think hijabi in birks).

Very cute!
This is so adorable! You should make these to sell, Very sweet.
That's cute! Are the clothes sewn on, or can you make different clothes for it so she can have different styles?
