Cool song... And I'm not complaining or anything, but why does a Lebanese person have to say it???? The only thing that would make me love it more is if it was by an Egyptian singer...

I'll bet what Egyptians love about this song is that it's sung by a non-Egyptian; an outsider telling them how great they are. Translation was horrible, though. And how come no hijabis? If you're talking about Egypt and it's people, come on. And was that Hosni Mubarak in the painting at the end?! If so, yeah, he doesn't really represent Egypt and it's people at all.
hmm a song about egyptians and everyone of them looks like a western except for the tan! how sad, and they say their proud to be egyptian, sorry but from the video looks like someone is still stuck in the empire. or trying to be a western wannabe? you should check some of the other arab countires out, they actually have ppl even in their tv and videos who are happy to dress in their own clothes and not just be an advert for gap or some other chain.
I am a mother to four wonderful kids and the wife to one wonderful Egyptian! We live in a small town in the Midwest and work in our small businesses. I am also a Waldorf preschool teacher and childcare provider, a backyard chicken lady, a part time homeschooler, and a generally crunchy mama (think hijabi in birks).
