Language software, yea!

How happy am I to finally get the homeschool version of Rosetta Stone Arabic? VERY!!! I can't wait to get started. I am thinking 30 minutes every day for the kids... And maybe an hour for me (providing I can have an hour without interruption). Is my dream of speaking Arabi at home one step closer???? Insha'Allah.

Hey, let me know how you like this software, insha'Allah. I'm hoping to fix up my arabee. I'm ahead in grammar but kind of behind on my tajweed, which is really sad. But I need to get a move on, insha'Allah.

OMG! You got Rosetta stone! I have heard it is good, but for the price you don't really want to spring for it without knowing more. Let us know what you think. They have a kids version? Cool!

assalamu alaikum,

Another one here who is interested in knowing how it is. I have seen their programs in other languages and looks like it could be a great learning tool. Jazakallah kheir for drawing attention to it.

I will have to let you all know what I think after a month or so. I know it seems nice... But the real test will be how much we all learn.

There isn't a kids version so much... The HS version just allows you to have multiple users and set a course of study focused on different things depending on your learning goals. There is a speaking and listening focus for example that makes sense for my 5yo who isn't even reading in English yet!LOL So, I set up each kid with the profile I wanted and that way it will keep track of where they are in the course and even generate reports about their learning. I think it is awesome that way. You can be sure each child is working at the right level without having to keep track of where they are or keep repeating the same lessons over and over. It will bring a word/skill again on its own until you pass it.

Anyway, I THINK it's good. Only time will tell!LOL

Wow, I've wanted a Roestta Stone language course for some time now. Please let review it after a month or so and let us all know if it's worth the cost in the end. :)
